How is the Paleo Shrink Program different from other approaches?

 

While the Paleo Shrink Program follows a Paleo, Caveman or Stone Age eating philosophy, it is not a one size fits all plan. I work with people’s hopes, dreams and aspirations for change, as well as the many challenges to those dreams including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, frustration, confusion and more. There are times when you feel strong and inspired and other times when you may have a hard time believing in yourself. I understand. Some of the most challenging parts to creating fat loss is learning how to override cravings, bad habits and emotional vulnerabilities. 

 

The Paleo Shrink approach will start where you are and stick by you during your most difficult times. I am dedicated to seeing you succeed not just for a little while, but for the rest of your life. I will work with you to gain a sense of mastery with regard to how you eat, as well as to establish an integrated, healthy identity both inside and out. The Program allows for your own process and progress. Initially, many start with the feeling of, “I’m not sure I can or really want to do this even though I want to lose weight.” In time, that feeling can broaden to, “This is what I need to do to lose weight, be happy and healthy.” Further into the Paleo Shrink Program, it’s not unusual to self-identify as follows, “This is who I am, what I’m about, what I do, and how I eat to be lean and healthy for the rest of my life. I’m doing this for me.” The Paleo Shrink Program is about creating and having greater confidence living your life in a way that allows your lean body to take shape and your mental, emotional and physical health to rebound.

The Paleo Shrink will take the full you into account, including your culture, history, food preferences, feelings and thoughts, family life, etc., and base your strategic eating and living plans around you and your situation. This is about making a personalized program as true to your life and as comfortable as possible, so you can stay the course and gain maximum results. 

 

While there will be plenty of challenges and dedication needed during your time at the Paleo Shrink, the Program is truly designed to work for you and not against you.

What the Paleo Shrink Program is About:

 

Eating clean, healthy, single ingredient foods in portions that are sensible given your gender, height, body type and activity level.

 

Feeling comfortably satiated both in between and after meals.

 

Moving your body safely and reasonably during the week.

 

Exploring key areas in your life including but not limited to your health, body size, relationships, work, stress levels, etc., and working to increase the level of satisfaction in as many of these areas as possible.

 

Taking all of you and your life into consideration, including what your current favorite foods, interests and goals are and integrating healthy eating and living so it revolves around who you are, what you like and what you’re about.

 

Improving self-focus, self-esteem and self-worth by supporting flexibility and learning and integrating constructive coping methods for depression, anxiety, stress, shame and cravings.

 

What the Paleo Shrink Program is Not About:

 

Drastically reducing your caloric intake.

 

Being hungry all the time.

 

Exercising excessively throughout the week.

 

Focusing exclusively on your weight and food intake to the exclusion of other keys areas of your life.

 

Pre-determning what you may and may not eat without flexibility.

 

Supporting black and white thinking such as, “I follow my eating plan perfectly 100% of the time therefore I am great and valuable” or “ I didn’t follow my eating plan perfectly 100% of the time therefore I’m bad, a loser or worthless.”

What type of person is a candidate for the Paleo Shrink Program?

Adults of all ages are encouraged and welcomed to participate in the Paleo Shrink Program. Being overweight or obese is, unfortunately, not bound by age or gender. No matter where you are, I will work with you to help you get to your authentic body size. Even if you’re not confident or you’re ambivalent about giving it another try, come for a FREEinitial consultation anyway. The only thing you have to lose is fat. The very thing you have to gain is your real self and happiness, as well as good health and a lean body.

Please note, the Paleo Shrink Program is also effective for those who are only somewhat overweight. If you are one of those people, why wait when you can benefit now by making a modest revision in your body size and shape?  More importantly, you can avoid further fat gain and a potential future of obesity and ill health, by challenging your current, misinformed, eating style.

 

In short, the Paleo Shrink Program is not about forcing you to fit into something that doesn’t feel right. By participating in the Program, your needs, desires, accomplishments, and strengths will be continually re-evaluated and adjustments will be made accordingly. Your success and happiness is our mutual goal. I know you want to feel and look great and I want that for you as well.
